Privacy policy

This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. “We” and “us” mean St. Carlo Acutis Early Learning Centers, an initiative of the Diocese of Bridgeport, at 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton, CT 06484.

Information we collect

When you contact us

When you send the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number (if you give one), what you’re interested in (enrollment, a tour or our programs) and your message.

When you join the waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address.

When you visit the site

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and standard request details, such as your browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you visit, how far you scroll, which buttons and links you click, and whether you start or send a form. It also records general information about your device, browser and approximate location (to the city), and how you arrived at the site. It never receives what you type into a form. How we use your information

• To reply to your message
• To send you updates about the center and enrollment, if you joined the waitlist
• To talk with you about enrollment, tours and our programs
• To understand how families use the site, so we can improve it
• To keep the site secure and stop spam

We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize return visits and group the pages you see into one visit. We’ve turned off Google’s advertising features: the site doesn’t share data for ads, doesn’t personalize ads, and doesn’t use Google Signals. Google doesn’t store your full IP address.

Google keeps analytics data for up to 14 months. Reports we look at are about visits in aggregate, not about you as a person.

You can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser.

Who helps us handle it

We use these service providers, and share your information with them only so they can do this work for us:

• Resend delivers form messages and waitlist sign-ups to our team by email, and sends any confirmation email to you. Resend keeps a record of each email sent for a period set by its own policy.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps it secure. On the contact form and the waitlist sign-up it runs Turnstile, a check that looks at browser and device signals to tell people from automated programs. It also limits how often a form can be sent from one IP address.
• Google provides Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which loads it.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of children, families or our staff.

Where it’s kept and for how long

Contact form messages and waitlist sign-ups are delivered to our team’s email. We keep them only as long as we need them to respond to you and to plan enrollment, and we delete them sooner if you ask. Nothing you send through a form is stored on the website itself.

Resend keeps its record of sent emails according to its own policy, and Google keeps analytics data as described above. Our providers are based in the United States, and Cloudflare delivers the site through servers around the world.

Children’s privacy

This website is for parents, guardians and other adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Sensitive information

Please don’t include medical, custody or other sensitive details in the contact form. Let us know you’d like to share something sensitive, and we’ll arrange a more suitable way.

Your choices

• Emails: you can leave the waitlist or stop receiving updates at any time by replying to one of our emails or contacting us.
• Your information: you can ask to see, correct or delete the information you’ve sent us. We’ll delete it from our email and ask Resend to remove its record where possible.
• Analytics: you can opt out of Google Analytics as described above.

We won’t treat you differently for making any of these requests.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to the site, spam protection on our forms and limited access to our email. No website can be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features to the site. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
